Well done New York street movie in the 80's with heart and soul. Chaz Palmentieri is great. Robert Downey Jr. Seems out of place and not cast properly. Overall realism with actors who give you the feeling you are watching somebody rolling a handycam.

I can't remember ever seeing so many actors play their roles so believably in one film... and, they did it at the hands of a rookie Director. It's no wonder "Guide" won Best Ensemble and Best Director at Sundance..
