If you are open to different religions, then this movie will be pretty good in your books. It had a good storyline and it progressed well. The characters were believable and acting was good. The movie did not leave any unanswered questions that ruins it. Although you may not like the ending, the twist pushed the movie from a 7 to an 8 in my books.

If you have heard of black magic and the powers associated with it, you will definitely understand this movie. The acting is fantastic-as Kate Hudson portrays nurse caroline believably. Full of suspense and edge of your seat movie watching, I had not seen in movie like this in years. Interesting perspective of New Orleans and Louisiana after all that has affected that area with Hurricane Katrina. Watch this movie--you will not be disappointed at all. I only hope it gets some nods for the Academies.

I have a feeling that I may have not quite understood the movie or missed some "clues". Even so, the movie spends half of the time developing Kate's character only to totally condradict itself in the end. The ending is supposed to tie loose ends together but this one creates loose ends. Im trying to be fair here. I did like the atmosphere and the sets. Its worth seeing for those reasons. I will also say that it twists Gods teachings of love and peace and is quite wrong with its message. I will ad this movie to the myriad of shock value, crapola that hollywood churns out with some nice sets and atmosphere combined with a hint of ridiculous scoopy-do mystery solving.

As a horror movie, it wasn't very scary. Some scenes were way too long and I often got bored watching it. The ending was bad. Very easy to predict and I'm pretty sure I've seen the same thing in other movies. The 1998 movie, Fallen, has a similar ending for example. However Fallen (Denzel Washington) is an excellent movie. So if u haven't seen it yet go rent it and pass on Skeleton key.

It isn't scary what so ever, this coming from a person who get scared very easily and watches horros movie with her eyes closed. It's a really interesting thriller that will have you wondering the whole way. If you want a horror don't see this, but if you want a great movie this is for you.

It's a good movie if you want an interesting sometimes a laugh. But if you want a movie with a twist DON'T SEE IT! It was horribly unsatisfying after you want a 'The Others' twist.
