Not a big fan of B. A. This why it took a while to get this movie of my tv screen. It was actually very good. Me and my husband definitely enjoyed it until last moment.

I am disappointed that we don't see much action. Too much bla bla bla. I want to see thiefs making hold up not talking all the time. The end is bad, the guy safrificed everything (his friends, almost his life, all the money) and at the end he is alone with an awful house by the lake.

The Town shows promise as a continuation of Ben Affleck talent as a director. After Gone Baby Gone Affleck takes on Boston in a string of Armoured trucks and Bank robberies. The action is tense and well directed and acted. The car chases have an unparallel quality and the romance between Ben Affleck and Rebecca Hall is breathtaking mainly for her charm and beauty. Great acting by Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker) and Blake Lively (Gossip Girl) All in all what I missed the most in this movie was character development, the kind we saw in Heat with Robert de Niro, Al Pacino and Val Kilmer. So far even though tremendously entertaining Heat packs more depth that this daring Saga.

WOW. WOW. WOW. I missed it in the theater but rented it when it came out on DVD. What an exceptional movie. One of the best dramatic movies I have seen in a long time. The writing, directing and acting were phenomenal. The quality is likened to the movie The Insider with Russell Crowe from the 90's. The caliber of this movie is on that level. A must see. Rent it. It will not disappoint however there is quite a bit of violence so this movie is not for everyone.

I'm not a big fan of Ben Affleck's acting ability, but as a director he's making some noise. The Town is a well-constructed film with a strong cast, including Jeremy Renner, Jon Hamm and Pete Postlethwaite. If you like your movies with a touch of film noir, check it out.

Great movie, although its trailer made me expect more of this movie, still a must see.

This movie was fully enjoyable from start to finish... my only complaint is that he seemed to cram too much into the movie. Things happened almost too quickly. Would have liked to see more character building. It seemed like there were too many dynamics going on, and none were really focused on. It was a jacked up version of the movie Heat. But I loved it.

I had not been to the movies in some time, but after seeing the preview for The Town and that is was directed by Ben Affleck, who had done Gone Baby Gone, which I loved, I decided to return to the theater. And I am happy to say, I was not disappointed. The Town is a mix of action and drama, with a great cast and story to match. The story does not tread on any new ground, but it flows well and is driven by a strong cast. Ben does a great job of separating the action moments and the drama, so that both feel authentic and don't distract from the other. At over two hours, you don't even notice the time pass as the pacing keeps you interested. There are no real edge of your seat moments, just a well told story with great characters who all play their parts extremely well.

Ben Affleck directs, writes and stars in this film about bank robbers, being hunted through the streets of Boston by a FBI agent and a woman who might destroy them all. Ben Affleck gives a believable performance as the leader of bank robbers, Jeremy Renner gives a great performance as his partner and Jom Hamm gives a satysfing performance as the F. B. I Agent. The main problem in The Town is cliche (reffering to the romance) Otherwise, The Town has intense and enjoyable action sequences and is a hugely entertaining film.

Enjoyed the story and the acting, found the action a little over the top at times, but generally a good evening out.

The only reason I couldn't give this a 10 is because I have seen lord of the rings, but everything about this movie is amazing!

I really enjoyed this movie as it didn't have a lot of big stars to focus on. You were able to focus on the story. Drama, comedy, romance, action, it had it all.

Very entertaining with lots of high speed car chases and great acting by the cast. It's not a suspense thriller so know what you're going there for. Guys will love the car chases and shootem up scenes. I found the story quite good and was pleasantly surprised.

They advertise it as a movie about bank robbers, and it turns into a romance. Not what I paid to see.

Disappointed. Am I suppose to feel for these guys? Thieves, killers, liars, users. What's the message this is presenting? What positive qualities do these characters/criminals have (including Affleck? ) Sure, they had bad upbringings, but this never should condone their behavior. The love story didn't really work for me (so what, he says he'll tell her the truth), she still accepts the evil he's done and has feelings for someone who commits such actions. There's nothing redeeming about this movie. Imagine if any one of these were your kids, are they someone you'd be proud of? Enjoy the show (just NOT this one)

The idea of the movie is really good! However they didn't elaborate it much, they could have done much better with such an idea! It was really predictable and monotone! Good as a rental movie not more!

Ben Affleck's second directorial display was even better than Gone Baby Gone which was a debut of his directorial skills. Great action, intelligent writing with an interesting story. If we could do half points this would be an 8.5 for me.

Although the story clunks a little and has much too sweet an ending, the acting performances, the crazy action and, yes, Ben Affleck's direction, make this a really fine movie. If you like thoughtful crime drama, this really needs to be on your 'must watch' list. One thing -- As an armoured car crewman myself, I will tell you that the bank and truck security procedures dramatized in this movie are laughably inaccurate... but they don't take away a thing from the movie.

It's an ok movie, if you're into all the typical Hollywood action and effects. Good overall but nothing stands out too much. Plot was not very believable and could've been better developed. Ending definitely needs work.

What I Liked: The brunette was a real cutie! I can definitely understand a man giving up a life of crime for her. Ben Affleck's best performance since "Hollywoodland". The action-packed last half hour. What I Didn't Like: It is unrealistic that a gang could commit robbery after robbery without the FBI ever having enough evidence to arrest and convict them... even though the FBI are certain who the perpetrators are!
