I am so disappointed. I wanted to see it because I enjoyed Paris Je t'aime and I love New York City. However, the movie was dull. It was just a string of weird storylines played by famous actors but so poorly done. There was nothing magic about it, nothing captivating that would leave you with a lingering feeling about the movie. Hope Tokyo I love you better than this.

Quite possibly one of the most disappointing movies I have ever seen in the theater. All star cast that gave mediocre monotone performances at best. I can't for the life of me understand how anyone could give this film a positive rating; it is a poor and pretentious attempt at a moody art house film filled with banal, overdone cinematography and void of any plot. It is a collection of 25 abrupt storylines that link together so unbelievably at times... I just kept thinking "why bother". Less characters and more story development would have helped, unfortunately it was a waste of cast, waste of money and waste of time.

All I can say is this movie was a HUGE disappoinment, nothing like Paris Je t'aime. The movie was very inconsistent, and the storylines were very poor. Don't even bother renting it on dvd let alone watching it in theatre, the whole time I kept checking my watch to see when the movie would be over.

I tend to agree with those who say that the stories could have been developed more. I did enjoy the movie though for what it was; an entertaining, well acted, collection of short stories set in New York. I particularly enjoyed Cloris Leachman's contribution.

It's a good movie, the scene at the end with the elderly couple stole the show.

Very similar to Paris Je t'aime... a series of vignettes where some were captivating and others were disappointing. A bit of everything with very little to connect except the familiar backdrops. The producer of a film like this has to maintain consistently high standards if it is to stand out. Unfortunately there were compromises made in this film, and it shows.

Not as good "Paris, Je t'aime"... the stories were OK at best but they failed to capture the essence of New York. In fact, they should have call the movie Manhattan, I love you...

Lack luster. Didn't capture the essence and emotion of the same format set in Paris, although I don't think that was the absolute aim. Seriously underdeveloped. Not bad if you have a free afternoon to indulge in other people's affection, which is productive in and of itself.

This was a very entertaining and enjoyable film. Different from the first one (Paris, je t'aime), and actually more light and positive.

This movie was not a disappointment but it was certainly underdeveloped. It gave off the air of a rushed execution. To me the hooker and married couple story of Yvan Attal, the prom story of Brett Ratner, hotel story of Shekhar Kapur and old couple story of Joshua Marston were well done. Natalie Portman was the weakest piece of the movie as an actress and as a director.
