This is my favorite movie of all time. Even though the storyline is super depressing, I can't help but watch it because the acting is phenomenal. Susan Sarandon is amazing as usual and Sean Penn is better than ever. It is a movie I definitely had to add to my collection!

I have seen this film a few times, and as always, I walk away feeling no sympathy for the convicted murderer (played by Sean Penn). Susan Sarandon does an excellent job in this movie - but I can never understand her compassion for this man, and perhaps that just goes to show how strong her faith is in trying to help a fellow human find salvation. Hey, if you do the crime...
